The example of the Caisse d'Epargne

The Caisse d’Epargne has become one of the leading actors in international cycling world with its racing team that includes such illustrious cyclists as Alejandro Valverde, Oscar Pereiro, and Vladimir Karpets and is currently in first place in the UCI Pro Tour 2008 classification.

In view of enhancing the public relations programs for the Tour de France 2008, the Caisse d’Epargne has asked Event & Partner to join them in helping to define the offers and services to be provided to its regional offices.

Event & Partner reviewed the actions carried out in 2006 and 2007 in order to draw up specifications in line with the expectations for the 2008 Tour de France. The objective was to offer daylong programs enabling 120 to 150 guests to attend the Tour de France 2008, with a choice of ten possible dates.

The invitation to tender was extended to four potential service providers, and won by Amaury Sport Organization, which proposed a “Relais-Etape” (stopover) type event particularly well-suited to the Caisse d’Epargne’s needs.

The Caisse d’Epargne and Event & Partner worked together, and in close contact with ASO, in the preparation, setting up and actual implementation of the program in the field.

The new program was warmly applauded by the regional offices of the Caisse d’Epargne involved in the event: close to 800 guests benefited from the daylong programs between July 9 and 19, 2008, making it an unqualified success!

Note that in addition to this special program, the regional office’s staff was able to take advantage of a Departure Village and Caravan program during the entire period of the Tour de France 2008.
